Solar eclipse is horrendous. Only interesting part of the song is the Ella interpolation, then the song just goes nowhere for drakes whole verse. Same dry chords, 0 bass, same drums. gets a bit of life when Don comes on and the get throwed guitars get worked in but it all sounds so off and low impact.

It would sound immensely better with less autotune. It’s not even the fact that he uses it that makes it sound like s***, it’s that he’s drowning his natural voice and it’s f***ing with the key he’s singing in

His voice is raspy as f*** and even hoarse on some songs across all three albums so I guess he’s trying to compensate for the damage his voice has taken over the years, idk. All I know is that whatever preset he keeps using sounds awful. Even Don sounds like ass with THAT AMOUNT of it, it’s completely unnecessary
