I think the label or whatever, dont want the songs to be associated... which makes sense as her song is still on a run, and at a peak.
I also think they dont want her associated with hip-hop or whatever.
It is just political s***.
But we get the song now and thats all I care about at the end of the day.
I thought it was Drake going the cheaper route and choosing to sample it rather than remix it but you might be onto something
And I might not be up to date with Billboard's current rules but if I remember right this would actually help Choosin Texas at the moment and not hurt it since they don't count remixes as separate songs while the original is still charting. If this was "Choosin Texas (Remix)" they would lump it's stats in with Ella's song. Releasing it as "Solar Eclipse" doesn't help Choosin Texas at all but at the end of the day I'm also glad we got it in whatever way they needed to contract it legally

He is but for these to be Habibti bonus songs UMG is still involved since they have some publishing control of that album (The Iceman trilogy are all still licensed under them). Why he didn't release these independently is very strange. Perhaps the rumor of him being unable to release a new project independently or through a competing label until 1 calendar year are true

Again, they dont want the association. Nor do they care about if a remix is helping anything. The song has already broken every record... they dont need any help.
It is just typical country-genre and the politics over there.
Ella seems cool and probably dont care, but she gotta do what she gotta do. What the label/management says.

I HIGHLY doubt he'll drop FOMO versions of Iceman or MOH but ideally he would with the songs we didn't get and maybe some of the leaks. Reputation was just the outro for the Karol G feature so I don't think that was actually intended to be a standalone song. However imagining an ICEMAN FOMO and MOH FOMO I think they'd go like this
