If this song had no beat switch and it was 6 mins of Drake going crazy over one really good beat, that would have really helped, premature beat switches are hurting the intensity Drake is able to build with a song these days. Their done in a messy way

The best diss on this song is the asap diss Rocky, he put Rocky in a blender with just a couple bars. He touched not only Rocky’s emasculated perception in his relationship BUT more importantly he touched on Rocky’s music and career.

The best disses are the ones where u expose someone’s music and their stylistic failures as a musician not their personal lives.

This is why I wish Drake would have actually detailed the “always rapping like you bout to free the slaves, you just acting like an activist it’s make believe”

If Drake would have combined the content of Taylor made with a more aggressive sounding beat and detailed the goofy civil rights image Kendrick be pulling he could have got this W.
