May 21, 2021Jefe DidI’m familiar with those records but I don’t like to bring them up because they are very watered down compared to Work or Controlla.
Also, Drake tried to do dancehall YEARS before with Find Your Love. But Kanye also simultaneously f***ed him over with that terrible engineering and unfinished beat. Drake still turning that into a hit was one of his best moments of the early part of his career.
So again, I don’t see it as Drake wave riding. That’s exactly why the s*** was a massive success for him and others failed at it.
Find your love wavey tho, even tho people say Kanye f***ed up the beat. Those vocals a1.
