Travis and Drake don't have the same arrangement and it isn't always about making a lot of money right away. Drake is financially stable. This isn't about making a quick buck. It's about building a brand that outlives him.

NOCTA is Drake's own brand that he owns. These drops are collabs with Nike. NOCTA isn't a subsidiary of Nike.

Not even trying to make comparisons but I still remember when Kanye had just launched YEEZY and everyone had jokes about how the shoes looked, etc, but somehow, they kept buying them and he kept making more shoes and now he has a company valued at $1B to his name. Not saying the same will happen to Drake but criticisms can be saved until we actually see the product or at least official images of it. If the shoe drops and the reception is negative, a new design can always be made.
