Kanye has never made something that truly has not been done before

hes always been someone who's great at adapting fringe music to the mainstream not someone who's making fringe boundary pushing music himself

the way he brings the sounds together creates something different though

unless youre doing these lazy ass "808s is like T-pain" and "yeezus is like death grips" type comparisons

First impression. Why would I listen to this when I could listen to Dawn FM or 808 and Heartbreak? This was pretty boring. It says something when 21 Savage was the most interesting part of the whole album.

if Kanye made this exact album and named it 808s & Heartbreak 2 it’d be called the next evolution of hip hop in 10 minutes

    Lowkey facts

It’s not about that, it’s just that house music has been done way better long before. Like this Is cool and decent house music for an American audience but if you’ve been listening to house you know this is just whatever

That’s a fair argument, but it’s the modern day rap fans who primarily listen to rap and R&B that just dismiss music like this and don’t know the history behind it whatsoever
