Why do people dislike Falling Back? They loved passionfruit.

Falling Back is way sadder and mopey

His singing was not up to par on falling back honestly and the song dragged on. I fuk with it tho

Throws people off on first listen. It’s at that point you try to understand what Drake is doing vs hating the album for not being what you wanted/expected.

If Passionfruit was mixed like this album it would go beautifully in it and no one would notice it as an outlier.

This is the thing I’m seeing 99% of the time.

It must be hard to be Drake, like people are so used to your voice and your usual range you can’t even experiment without pissing off the beast that you created.

For me, I’m just here for Drake the artist. It’s the imprint of Drake in all these different sounds (there are no genres, really) coupled with his unmatched pen that I’ve grown to love.

It’s like sports in a way, pardon the a***ogy. Some people love the sport, basketball as example, above all else. Some people like their city, logo, style, player, political leader, etc above all else. When that thing, for eg player, is no longer in the league they’re disinterested or hate (especially the new generation of what comes).

But as much as I act like a stan I can actually say it’s just because of the music Drake makes I listen to him and further give him flowers for. When you look at it that way you don’t shut yourself out of enjoying something that is different. And ultimately in art you need that.

God damn I’m high

The fact that he went so hard so early is what I love…but Falling Back is in a critical position for the album when it comes to being a fork in the road of opinion on this album.
