His vocals sounded better when he used a vocal trainer in the NWTS era
I don't know he messed up his voice this bad, Take Care (title track) sounds way better than all of his singing on here and that was a decade ago
Why do people hate the Kendrick album so much
'Cause KTT has a certain way on looking at things.
If the first 10 pages of an album thread post release go well its going to gain undivided support no matter if people, in reality, dislike it or not.
If the contrary happens this album will get dunked on no matter its true quality and people who bump it daily will still hop on here and crack jokes about it
Just noticed Sticky has the CLB teaser sampled (?)
I wanna know why experimental is so important to y'all. You should be more interested in how well the song was executed in what it was trying to achieve.
why is MMTBS discourse even happening itt anyways lmao
I couldn’t think of two less comparable albums
Fair tbh. I think I’ve only listened to it two or three times since it dropped so I can’t add too much to the conversation, i’ll have to listen again. However off my initial few listens I do agree I expected something much better(especially with all the “smoking on top 5’s” talk)
It has some very good tracks but, also many average ones. I was ready for some tpab s*** not what we got
Idk how Drake dropping a whole afro house album can be considered him “not experimenting”
So do you also consider Dawn FM an experimental album?
Name em
United in grief, worldwide steppers, crown, auntie diaries, Mother I sober
Production on these is like nothing else

Because barely any of this album accomplishes that goal whatsoever so to defend it people gotta say "ya just wouldn't get it"

I really like the album but I’ve noticed I only really go back to certain songs, as opposed to playing it front to back like i expected myself to

Explain why they are experimental now
He is not exploring new sounds
He's not innovating but it's a sound he never worked with like this
United in grief, worldwide steppers, crown, auntie diaries, Mother I sober
Production on these is like nothing else
Crown is experimental because it doesnt have drums? Lol if this is what is considered experimental to you, you need to listen to more music
You guys really have to relax before this album is called overrated.
That's funny because If anything, it's overhated
So do you also consider Dawn FM an experimental album?
ofc youre bringing the weeknd up
But to answer your question yes I do
I do consider AH and DFM to be experimental, as they were a deviation from the Weeknd sound people had come to know and love, despite BBTM/Starboy being pop, they werent like THAT. so yes I do consider them experimental relative to his prior works
It has some very good tracks but, also many average ones. I was ready for some tpab s*** not what we got
Don’t think he’ll ever top TPAB tbh. Or GKMC
Loved it on first listen and it’s getting even better now. Defintely my favorite drake project since IYRTITL
Because barely any of this album accomplishes that goal whatsoever so to defend it people gotta say "ya just wouldn't get it"
What goal lol
Don’t think he’ll ever top TPAB tbh. Or GKMC
I'm still waiting for him to top gkmc
People fallen into the “it’s cool to trash drake” narrative every time on social media, a new project drops. At this time it’s just the norm.
Why would you trash one of the most gifted artist of our generation?
What if he decided to call it quits and never make music again? He got enough money so he definitely could
I don’t think people don’t understand how much of a blessing our goats like Drake Kendrick Abel Frank etc are to our lives. It really bothers me for some reason lol
