Is it Frank on Calling My Name? If not then who cause they renegaded Aubrey lol
People really hate this??
think if you went in expecting Drake like he was rapping on Solid/W2S vibes u r gonna be disappointed. Which is fair considering surprise drop and no promo
I could fight Drake right now for not putting Majid on Down Hill
I agree Majid would've fit that song, he would've smoked a feature on A Keeper too. the direction of this album was really good. my fantasy of a Jordan Ullman exec produced Drake album is inching closer and closer
All your Insta baddies are playing this on repeat this summer
He really had them all in the music video too
i love album so much his best album in years to be honest this is the exactly what he needed to make
Damn I kinda want an unscrewed version of Liability after doing it myself
But like mine sounds heavily processed (because it is)
The two songs of Drake discog to compare this album to are Summer Games and Get It Together
That's it
People just been saying all types of s***
It's about time we start talking about 21 as one of the best in the game right now on features
his whole catalog is immaculate
I think there will definitely be remixes that more upbeat and not as laid back if that's what you want
I thought the tempo was fine actually, I prefer house/club music a little smoother and slower. I'm sure some good remixes will come out of this too, I'd be shocked if it didn't tbh.
A better way to phrase my issues with the album would be to say that I think the arrangements on the tracks don't hook me at all, and I think Drake's flows fundamentally don't work as well as they could
I like electronic music I can live in, and the goal is to find a melody that I can't shake - for example this song from the second Kaytranada album, which is about as mainstream of a house producer as you're liable to find these days

The Wizkid + guitar breakdown in One Dance is another example, that's catchy as f***. Tems' vocals on Fountains scratch that itch. His other really successful dance songs have that moment in each one. I didn't get a moment like that from Honestly, Nevermind, and I think it draws Drake's listless flows here into a sharper contrast with the music
It's hard to put into written word but he's very locked into this pattern where eveeeery bar is just, kind of, litling to the neeext, taaaking our time, lots of commas cuz we're just, asking big questions, aaaaaasking big questions abooooout you you YOU you, yoooou you you you which isn't like, inherently bad or out of place with the material. But it works much better for deep house than say Jersey club, you know what I mean? And I think it really runs out of steam by the end of the album. He always feels too far behind the beat on this project. Far be it from me to be praising post-TLOP Ye but I think "I Love It" is a good example of keeping the verses on a poppy house song interesting
and drake hasn't been doing the same s*** since 2009? at least Dawn FM fully embraces the sound, but drake had to put out Jimmy Cooks...
Drake started doing that after IYRTITL yes. That's why this album is refreshing for him
Damn I kinda want an unscrewed version of Liability after doing it myself

You mean the version on YouTube?
Another thing no one talks about is how drake has literally 4-5 different demographics in his fanbase
Since he became massive post 2015 there wont be a drake album where u wnt see a lot of people hate on it lol but it seems w this recorrd he’s inching towards just making the s*** he wants to make and im here for it
Wont be mad at all if drake’s next set of projects see him drop in popularity but with interesting music
I really hope this isn’t just a one off and is instead a sign of things to come from Drake’s music
Damn I kinda want an unscrewed version of Liability after doing it myself

mine too tbh, I tried but it just didn't sound right

Liability while f***ed up slowed is probably magical

not passionfruit?
I can see that 'they' have started early.
Guys and girls, please be here tomorrow when the HDD projections comes in. It is important and we need everyone ready. They will be painting false images about him and his popularity and that should not be allowed to happen. It could affect his status in the long run. Social media is too powerful these days. Sad twitter people are already doing it to get a lot of RTs.
Be ready to attack any incorrect statement. The facts are on our side.
Remember these points: Zero promo. Announced a couple of hours before it dropped. Didn't send it out to critics before it dropped so they could give him perfect reviews. 14 Tracks. Experimental album. Last album still around top 10 most selling albums weekly.
Feel free to suggest more.
I don’t think real Drake fans give AF tbh. Drake has always done what he’s wanted and his string of consistent top charting success suggests he knows more about which sounds work than his critics.
We’re just here to enjoy the ride

Him make a focused project for each fanbase would be interesting
