Thought Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was mid at first, but after implementing Pavlovian techniques for 24 hours straight, I’ve conditioned my brain to view it as a classic.

I’ve had Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers on a repeated loop for a week straight now. At first I thought it was mid, so every time the album finished and ‘United in Grief’ would begin again, I would start to feel disappointed and sick. But then I remembered Pavlov, and thought that I could condition myself into viewing the album as a classic. When the album would loop, and ‘United in Grief’ would kick back in, I’d do something to release endorphins. Eating a donut, consuming opiates, sexual stimulation, bungee jumping, that sort of thing. At this point, I absolutely love this record. Even without a self administered endorphin release. This album is now in my top 3 all time. I recommend playing around with your brain a little bit, and soon you’ll see this as AOTY material.
