I mean those long ass projects are never focused on by any critics as a whole so I wouldn't say it's an equal comparison. Nobody, especially critics, is expecting an Uzi or Carti album to be anything too serious anyway.
True.
I feel you though I do honestly love short albums because of that feeling. I think it's good to leave the listener wanting just a bit more so I'm down as a clown the day Drake decides to go the 4:44 route and just do 10 tracks, 30-35 minutes long
That does sound f***ing fire. That’d be amazing down the track when he’s older, settled down and able to reflect on everything
I know the cover is going to be absolutely iconic I hope it’s a painting
(We already saw the cover a couple weeks ago tbh)
I agree with you but I’ve only ever seen that criticism leveled at drake
Every album nowadays is almost 30 tracks because of multiple bonus song releases and critics say nothing
Criticism of his albums being too long? Some critics panned Scorp and Views for being bloated and stuffed with filler (personally don’t agree). I think 20 tracks would be fine but anymore than that and he’ll probably get criticised. Not that it matters but I’d like to seen him get the acclaim he deserves
Drake dropping the album right before “summer” (in terms of students going back to school on the Monday after, here in Toronto)

Nah, it says 1 of 2. I imagine that 2 is the actual album cover.
