What better way to launch a new venue than to have a run of shows featuring a bunch of the local artists that started making noise during the pandemic but haven't had a chance to do shows in their own home city?

Drake is arguably the biggest rapper in the world, you'd think a venue he's attaching his name to would cater to fans of a similar audience.

With that being said, I hope I am wrong and get to see many local artists perform at History

You're doing the most for no reason at all. The artists currently being announced are the first ones to have booked shows at the venue. It's that simple. They'll announce shows for artists as they get booked at the venue and any black artists who book the venue will get announced.

It hasn't even been 6 hours since the venue itself was announced and you're already doing the most because the first 5 artists announced weren't black. Relax.
