Demoitis is when you hear the demo so much and get used to it that the finished project feels inferior to you by nature of its differences (see a lot of Yandhi to JIK songs, Hurricane on Donda, etc)
Demoitis isn’t when you had the released song first but prefer the demo after it leaks. Almost complete opposite situations
Demoitis can be both
But whether or not the finished or initial project is better is kinda irrelevant of the demoitis the album version is mid compared to this one

Same thing happened with Scorpion, songs leaked from that era, people love them, and then say "OMG the OG Scorpion would have been incredible". People just love to hate on anything Drake officially releases. Story old as time.
I'm not saying this isn't good, but if this was released, people would of hated it too.

I don't disagree but if it was on Scorpion, I am certain the praise of it would not be as universal. Many people feel empowered to praise it since they can use it as another Drake criticism (him not releasing his "best" songs). There is very vocal people who cannot be in agreement with any official Drake choices.

Being a drake fan is taxing
But one thing I do notice drake doing in recent years, is changing his albums from their initial versions to a perceived detriment. But at least it shows he has the capability

I'm glad it doesn't seem that he did that for HNVM and Her Loss.
Seems like a case of paralysis by a***ysis, CLB took way too long to come out because of the pandemic and seemed like he was forced to release it instead of being excited to.
