Gives both guys time to grieve instead of doing press runs and PR and they don’t want to dominate the news cycle with their stuff while people are grieving and give spotlight to takeoff.
Also from a business perspective the label won’t want to share the headlines or drop at a time that can be criticized. They’re gonna wait till people are over it so they are in a mood to stream/buy it and avoid any controversy.
