didnt know drake could still do i guess it's f*** me type songs without sounding boring
tell me what did i do wrooooong
wanting dust on this type of album :ācryhah:
I mean there is some dust on here to be fair
My only criticisms of this album
Mixing is horrible, sounds cheap and takes away the texture or galore of these beats
A Boldy James, JID, Freddie Gibbs, or Rick Ross feature wouldāve been cool too. Oh well it is what it is
thereās isnāt any concept or substance to draw on, but itās more of a nitpick complaint
"A James Boldy, JID, Freddie Gibbs, or Rick Ross feature wouldāve been cool too. Oh well it is what it is"
Isn't a criticism, it's just what you want
(and thank God none of them are on this album except Rick Ross)
Oh s***
He probably wasn't on the album cause he too busy dropping classics back to back though
You peep that futurewave produced album he just dropped?
There isn't particular topics I want him to talk about, as it could literally be about anything in life that resonates with him OR it could just be music that emits different types of emotions in the listener. I dont feel Drakes music genereally does that anymore apart from provide us with songs to party to, which is cool, but again gets boring when the content is superficial.
Also I think Drakes technical skills as a rapper have improved immensely and these past few years are the best he has ever been, however the content (what he is talking about) and the consistency of good content is as low as its been for him.
Ill give an example of Drakes first verse on the album - and this is consistent throughout the majority of the album. The verse below is completely superficial and surface level, however because his technical skill as a rapper is so good it sounds good.
'Sticks and stones, chrome on chrome
That's just what a nigga on
Internet clones, got them kissing through the phone
Pussies cliquin' up so they don't feel alone, ayy
No nigga seeing me, I'm Young Money CMB
I used to roll with CMG, the house is not a BNB
The bad b****es waiting on a nigga like I'm PND
I'm steady pushing P, you niggas pushing PTSD
I told her ass to kiss me in the club, f*** a TMZ'
as it could literally be about anything in life that resonates with him
huh? what makes you think the things he's rapping about in his music don't resonate with him?

the music is certainly evoking all types of different emotions from the listeners, apparently...

unrelatable ā superficial

Some of you are so fake and dumb with your terrible takes.
Rappers are allowed to be ignorant in songs. It doesn't mean they have no depth to them. When Drake wants to talk about real s***, he does but he's still a rapper whose job is to primarily entertain people. You had no issues with that 10 years ago so why do you have an issue with it now?
If he's not giving you the content you want, go listen to who is.
The problem with many of you is that it's never enough to accept a song/album for what it is intended to do. It always has to be what YOU want and if it isn't that, then it's bad or inferior.
Put some names on that
top 3 wildest things drake said on this album, go
"The diamonds, they hit like a rainbow, that's 'cause the necklace a Frank"
I'm a gentleman, I'm generous
I blow a half a million on you hoes, I'm a feminist
I never put no prices on no beef until we end this s***
I pay a half a million for his soul, he my nemesis"
"Aw damn, man, you niggas is the worst
Savage snatch you out ya crib, then drop you in a hearse
Baby, please, make me nervous, stop reachin' in your purse
Nigga went and bought a house when he coulda bought a verse"

nah it makes sense lowkey

I donāt agree with any negative takes on this project
But as far as 10 years ago, TC and NWTS did have more ārelatableā or ādeepā ācontentā than anything recent. So I donāt think the āit was fine 10 years agoā comment works
These projects this year were amazing and I think he has a chance to keep the momentum up and drop a grown NWTS, an album thatās fun but also well rounded and has that ālife musicā feeling that NWTS had
I donāt think people are asking for 444

Telling artists what to paint
Hopefully drake taking a minimum 7 years hiatus after this
glad you high schoolers enjoyed this. Just so yāall know he got 5 albums that sound just like this
You still here?
also about that "coulda bought a verse line"
hard af but right after he follows it with "niggas dumb as f***, imagine if I did that stupid s*** when I was comin up" so it reads to me more like sound advice from someone who's done it differently in the past while also being a flex? idk
