Does anyone else generally find Drakes recent music pretty soulless and superficial? He has a couple songs that go beyond the surface level but generally its surface level, which can be ok, but gets boring pretty quickly.

He has some nice flows on here and some nice beats but the content is bland for me.

I think I might be a Manchurian candidate. Every time Drake sings, i don’t know what it is, but it’s like i go blank. Drool starts pooling up at my mouth. I kind of just stare despondently at the ceiling. A warmth pools below me. Ive pissed my pants, I know this, but there’s nothing I can do 🤕. The song is still playing and Drake continues to croon me into his realm. And all of a sudden, snap. Im back. The hymns of “pussy” hits my ears and 21 Savage has saved me again.

But yeah, it’s alright. Would be dope to have an album of straight bars. Was kind of expecting that given the 21 colab, but as many others said it’s more of Drakes vehicle, and 21 is kind of just setting the tones.
