Square Enix has announced the release date for the remake of Dragon Quest I & II, today on Dragon Quest Day (May 27, to commemorate the release date of Dragon Quest I).
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake will be out on October 30 on all platforms, including on Switch 2. In Asia, the Steam release is one day later on October 31.

Need dq3 on sale ON PSN ASAP

Really wonder how much is going into these DQ 1&2 remakes. Neither of these games are all that long, and they seem to have built these remakes off the bones of the DQ3 remake. Would've thought it'd be out today on Dragon Quest Day since it was in development concurrently with DQ3 Remake.

Seeing it coming out October 30th is...damn almost a full year after DQ3? Very interested to see what we're gonna get with this

Also I'm hoping for 1&2 you will be able to see your characters' battle sprites during the battle instead of it switching to the first person perspective like they did in DQ3 Remake. I have no f***in clue why they changed it from what it was originally going to be

This just looks so much better. What's the point of allowing you to customize how your party looks if you're only going to be able to see them when they're on the field?

Finally picked up dq3. Game is absolutely breathtaking and feels amazing to be back in dq universe. Trilogy will hopefully hold me over till dq12

I know this is an old post, but in the screenshot you post that was just the view before battle. It switches to 1st Person once you give your commands lol. The main difference in the final game is the perspective of this shot is different

I’m pretty sure they kept it 1st person to keep the authenticity of the OG ganes, DQ was 1st person Battles until DQ8
