Karl MarxAs someone who has worked closely with members of Dre’s team (you can check the threads for TI - Kill The King where I posted lyrics from the Dre produced track Where I’m From before it dropped or the thread for the Game mixtape last year where I posted about the intro track before it dropped, if you want to question my credentials) I can assure you Dre is not using any generative AI.
What he is using is the machine learning “de-mixing” technology that Peter Jackson and Giles Martin developed for Now & Then by the Beatles, which both separates the stems and cleans each one up individually (you can turn a bad demo tape into lossless quality with this tech).
He is indeed using it on the upcoming Springsteen project, and he already used it for the Tom Petty track on Snoop Dogg’s Missionary.

Stem splitting is great
Its cool for making s***ty soundcloud remixes but i dont think it has a place in remastering, esp when these people have a much bigger budget than you or I

You got to understand A.I. is a tool, it's very hard to use if you don't know anything about music, you get generic stuff that may sound ok but it's always going to take a human to decipher what stays and goes.
Reminder: Back in the day, we hired other musicians to play certain
things. It's no different. or used a randomizer to fill in notes or create different melodies through software...so....I think those who oppose A.I. are still banging sticks and stones, and big mad when wind instruments were made.
DAWs were made by real people who drank only a few litres of water per day, presumably did not overconsume eletricity, did not pollute the surrounding environment with carcinogens, and were not trained using petabytes of stolen art.
