  • this era of pop r&b was fun tbh, will never understand the hate for it. this is coming from someone who is like a classic r&b fan

    Cool bro

Unfortunately for you guys since you hate them so much, the “hoes” are also human beings who share the planet with us and contribute to the economy of the music industry. Also don’t know when yall started trying to simplify the argument into a “but the hoes listen to him!” thing

Nobody said that. My point was that the same way we have music nerds who feel infuriated at the smallest possible notion of giving someone like Bryson Tiller any praise, there are 10 times as many normal R&B fans (in my example, I used a “girl”because women are the largest demographic of R&B listeners) in real life who would give him plenty. And we’ll let the charts in OP serve as a reference

Let’s lock in man , please

What about their posts make you think they hate hoes? I don’t see that

Weeknd has no song that sounds like Thriller but you see how MJ inspired him right?

Take My Breath is his best Thriller impression tbf

  • Don’t like the “new R&B” slander.

    Trapsoul is a classic.
F*** the World is a classic.
    PND1 & 2 are classics.

Legendary moments. Iconic artists in their own rights.

Be mad at the new cats that just copy them instead of improving on the style. These guys offer a blueprint, they don’t have to be the end all-be all.

Ah yes. A song that contributed towards and possibly sparked the decline in quality of mainstream male R&B music.

ill never get the Bryson hate. He didn’t ruin R&B….RAP ruined R&B

hold on i didn't say he was the best r&b artist i just said bryson is a legend and had a huge impact there aren't too many names you can put above him

I’m not even gonna dispute the legend part but there aren't too many names you can put above him is f***ing ridiculous about r&b. Do you know how many r&b legends there are before you would even think of Bryson Tiller?

Except they're have been plenty of outstanding hip-hop/rap and R&B collaborations since the 80s...

Don't blame rap for "ruining" R&B when it's these wack ass artists who are terrible at doing both.

  • Poolboy Q

Ok do you like chief keef?

Yeeaah imma just mute you now cause I can already tell you bouta say some really stupid s*** and I'm not even gonna waste my time going back and forth with you.

    Also you're white.

    Cheers!

If you want anything more than struggle singing over trapstrumentals you hate women

Honestly citing women as some sort of social proof to justify the slop these niggas have put out is misogynistic but that’s for another day

Niggas need to recognize the difference between artists who had a legendary moment vs. actual legendary artists

Fetty Wap had a legendary MOMENT… he is not a legendary artist

Same with Bryson Tiller, not a single thing about his career is legendary post-Trapsoul. The average person probably hasn’t even thought about Bryson Tiller since 2016

It’s different because Drake is seen as a rapper first, singer second. Tiller presents himself as r&b
