I don't even think it's a matter of "viewing everything critically" it's just...there are objectively much better R&B artists than Bryson Tiller. Like even ones you can consider his contemporaries of the 2010s.

The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Miguel, 6lack, Brent Faiyaz, Ty Dolla Sign, Anderson Paak, Daniel Caesar, SiR...like I can very easily go on lol if you coming at me saying Bryson Tiller is your favorite R&B artist of the 2010s go for it. I'm just gonna have to assume you either don't be listening to a lot of R&B or you just have s*** taste in R&B.

I think that poster was just saying that the average listener really does enjoy this style of R&B that Bryson helped usher in and they don’t view music as critically as we do on here.
