nah bryson is definitely a legend. who would you put above him in the last 10 years of r&b in terms of big songs, impact, etc? you can dislike his music and people making bad impressions of him but you can't deny his work
He’s acting like ur crazy and people are liking his post but u have the right idea ur just outnumbered
Internet 101
Trapsoul is an incredible album
I don’t know if I’d call him a legend, but like dudes post said just before that; this 1 song sparked the decline in quality of mainstream male R&B
That’s the way he puts it, but u could just as easily put it like it almost single-handedly changed the landscape of mainstream male R&B. That would be wording it neutrally. Either way you’re admitting he had massive impact.
Regardless of how u see it, that type of impact is arguably legendary
@localblaccmane what do you think about this song
Dogshit and Tory Lanez is also another one of those artists I blame for the decline of mainstream male R&B.

He's a legend! He made music worse!

Well that’s the way you see it
But somewhere there’s some girl who loves all of the male R&B that stems from this song and Trapsoul, and would tell you differently. There are normal people out in the world who don’t view everything as critically as we do on here

And that's a boring b**** I don't wanna spend any time with.

And this hypothetical girl would probably have some unfavorable things to say about you as well lol
The beauty of subjectivity
Also have to keep in mind that there are more of those types than us
Huge PND, Tiller, Brent Faiyaz, Tory Lanez fans
There are easily way more of those than there are of us mean music nerds on ktt lol
I don't even think it's a matter of "viewing everything critically" it's just...there are objectively much better R&B artists than Bryson Tiller. Like even ones you can consider his contemporaries of the 2010s.
The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, Miguel, 6lack, Brent Faiyaz, Ty Dolla Sign, Anderson Paak, Daniel Caesar, SiR...like I can very easily go on lol if you coming at me saying Bryson Tiller is your favorite R&B artist of the 2010s go for it. I'm just gonna have to assume you either don't be listening to a lot of R&B or you just have s*** taste in R&B.

6lack, Brent Faiyaz
i was with you, but these two….aight man
i don’t even think trapsoul is that good but it’s better than anything brent faiyaz has done ill tell you that
Don’t & Exchange in 2015 with crisp AF1s, a bomber jacket, ovo sweatshirt and nike dad hat was an unbeatable combo
Replace the ovo sweatshirt with a flannel and yes.

AM Paradox, Trust EP and Brent Faiyaz work with Sonder literally s*** all over anything Bryson Tiller has ever made. Knock it off.

Just realizing this the same lame ass "The hoes listen to it!" or "I can play this around women" bullshit that has been plaguing music discourse for years and has also led to the degradation of quality music...
Can't stand y'all man smh

I think that poster was just saying that the average listener really does enjoy this style of R&B that Bryson helped usher in and they don’t view music as critically as we do on here. I don’t really think he was saying “the hoes listen to it”, but R&B does get stereotyped as a genre that is predominantly listened to by women
We really need to raise the bar in R&B again.
Niggas getting carried by instrumentals now.
Leon Thomas is tryna be the change we want to see
