Lol I was originally going to say "thank you Drake for making this song possible," but I wasn't going to try to bump the thread when I saw everyone s*** on Tiller.
I actually enjoy Tiller's music (I f***s with a couple of songs on the double album he just released), but can acknowledge that he's not a good singer, same with Drake.
In regards to him being a legend it doesn't matter what we think. I personally never viewed him that way(just an artist that had his moment), but I think the general public will. Like they do Soulja Boy even tho he normalized bad/untalented rap. Not saying that Tiller is the Soulja Boy equivalent just using Soulja as an example. I do think Tiller makes good records overall. There are way worse artists to hate on
I wanted to follow up since you ain’t respond to my last reply. Why do you think starsx and Smacked Voodoo hate women just because they don’t like Tiller’s music?
“Just because they don’t like tillers music”
Who the f*** said that 😭😭😭 lmaoo ur good bro
Nigga “following up” on Monday like this is his job or something nigga leave me tf alone asking s*** like that. Whole paragraph to respond to and u hung up on a morsel from it

bro
Listen to Dijon, listen to Lianne, listen to Kelsey Lu, Moses Sumney
I’m not entertaining niggas that are deadass giving a mediocre trap&b artist “legend” status and a classic
those artists are all great but someone having the biggest song out of an entire genre is a legendary act
even if id rather listen to those artists u listed
Smacked Voodoo in here fighting the good fight
Mans was sick and aired the whole thread out

As per your last post...

This is a slippery slope and keeps the bar low. I said it before, if that's all the criteria to be a "legendary act" you opening the door for f*** niggas like 6ix9ine to be called a legend.
All I've been getting at is that we should want more. We've seen artists put forth more to earn the title. It's just sullying it when these cats who had a lil one or two year run are getting touted as legends.
It's okay to just say "Yeah I liked this artist. They had a couple good tracks years ago"
Even the people who really sing suck at melodies and hooks. R&b has a melody and hook problem all up and down idk why that’s being conflated with non-singers

6ix9ine got hits but he was never the biggest out
I think ultimately with Bryson, he’s been very impactful on and important to the rnb genre. Whether that impact is good or not is up to debate. I could see him being called legendary or infamous. Personally, I don’t value his stuff as much as everyone else but I understand and recognize his impact

brent faiyaz is practically a whisper singer btw
still has good music but all his s*** is very quiet

It’s a slap in the face to real r&b legends like Maxwell and Usher when these ignorant users put Bryson Tiller next to them

So far the case itt for his legend status has been:
Hoes love him
He did numbers
I loved him in 2015

legendary act =\= legend
legendary act =\= legend
im not saying he's a legend. im just saying i understand the case for him being one
It’s been a decade and ktt still can’t get over the fact that Bryson completely lapped PND that year
well yeah pnd didnt drop a project and was busy on a world tour lol
Nigga drops one decent album and apparently that's all it takes to be called a legend these days...
And we wonder why R&B music has gotten so ass
Ironically, contributing to the legend argument if he really did have such a negative impact on R&B.
You can't deny that is legendary (Bryson cool tho, Anniversary slept on crazy)
Like a good portion of this gas for this trap&b s*** is rooted in the poptimism when Future and Thug were popping, it’s so much to unpack
Niggas hear some 808s and hi hats and get a hard on
Ah yes. A song that contributed towards and possibly sparked the decline in quality of mainstream male R&B music.
Hmm..
