Absolutely. But as a qualified armchair psychologist, I can only imagine Ye thinks: "Ooh these people are just like me, hated by the public".

that or it's the redemption narrative

but tbh to me it just seemed desperate. Ye is right that generating controversy has helped make people listen to his music over the years. But it was better when he found something to be controversial over that actually made sense. The manson thing makes no sense socially or musically. closest musical defence is maybe he was a reference for black skinhead

ahhh never bumping pt2 makes sense

same, just remember it from the first listen. I don't really get the appeal with dababy's verse. annoying narrative, shoddy singing adlibs and the whole 'how i'm gonna feed my family' grates a bit coming from someone as successful as him

  • Sep 28, 2021

ah f*** i can actually hear the words of kmsa chorus now

DaBaby just went too hard for the song you know what I mean? Like he was just doing way too much the song def did not need a verse of that tier

i would get it if he didn't credit these guys or cut them a paycheck and i wont lie that he does throw away most these guys like trash after an era concludes

but at the end of the day they still getting credits and much more attention then they would've gotten otherwise, ant clemons handled the situation exactly as you should

Kanye literally ghostproduced for years and was never mad or cried for attention, that s*** just shows that KC is a unbelievably big c*** and a clout chaser

Yeah, redemption/controversy angles are fair enough too. Only he knows. But I've played Jail pt 2 one time, idc. Think if I stayed up for the listening party, I'd probably have gone right to bed when Manson was chilling on the porch

yeah, it doesn't fit the song

i prefer slow hov over that. Sometimes it's annoying when rappers sound like they're trying to go hard if you know what i mean. Like how Em always sounds like he's trying to go hard in his later material. Whereas on Fivio and Andre's Donda verses they're going in but it sounds more natural

Tbh, Hov's verse grew on me. Some nice lines, could just do without the cornier ones like the selfie bar lol

ye was breathing a final bit of life into manson's career but Manson looked so tired on that porch. looked like he just wanted a sit down

Yeah exactly there’s a time and place for a verse like that and Jail was not it

Just an easy going stadium song that people wanna sing along with easily, not try to keep up with a double time lyrical miracle verse lmao

i think everyone should get credited, but Kacy was credited it's not even ghostwriting lol.

Writing on one of the biggest albums oty would change a songwriter's life. Even if he wants to be an artist, it's still an incredible opportunity
