Yeah... I agree. I think there are a lot of reasons for that. That aint the style of rap now. Most of it is raw as f***. Like we legit have rappers who rap off beat unironically and s*** (which is cool to some degree).
Not to mention, his delivery as of late is a lot more out of control to emphasize the emotions behind the words. He cut the wordplay and punchlines out of a lot of his raps. Definitely shifted clearly after My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (saw it popping up slowly in WTT, then a lot in Cruel Summer, and very obviously in Yeezus).
I like when Ye raps with a lot of emotion, but he kind of sacrifices the smoothness in a lot of his rhymes.
