Up From The Ashes should've been the intro to JIK, not Every Hour. Sorry that's just how I feel.
Song gets so boring after like 3 listens, and I feel like it doesn’t do its job as an opener. I think Every Hour at least does that.
LA Monster super boring too
Giving Sunday Service choir the opening spotlight on the album after touring with them all year >>>>>>
They got Jesus is Born, I'm trying hear as much Ye as possible on a Ye solo album.
UP FROM THE ASHES INTO THE SKY
:
I actually disagree hardcore.
No Church in the Wild - 9/10 song easily
Lift Off - honestly I think this song is pretty good despite it having s***ty rap verses, probably rate it like a 7 (Beyonce hard carries)
Niggas in Paris - 10/10 easily
Otis - Another 10/10
Gotta Have It - again, 10/10 (this easily one of the best 3 track stretches in either entire discog)
New Day - This song from a rap perspective probably one of the better tracks. Don't love it but objectively an 8/10
That's My B**** - probably like a 7/10, beat, chorus and bridge carries I think
Welcome to the Jungle - this song probably like a 6.5, Swizzy kinda ruins it. Not a bad song from a rap perspective but I think the beat and hook are mid
Who Gon Stop Me - probably a 8.5 or 9/10
Murder to Excellence - 10/10 easy
Made in America - Frank carries a bit and Ye has a good verse, outro is really good too 8/10
Why I Love You - probably worst track, 5.5/10, not terrible but easily the worst song in my eyes
Illest Motherfucker Alive - this like a 6.5
H.A.M - 10/10
Primetime, beats by Dion - Def an 8
The Joy: 10/10
You take away Illest Motherfucker alive, Why I Love You, and Welcome to the Jungle and its damn near a flawless albums. There are classics with many more misses. I just think the amount of 10s on this album easily make it classic worthy. And again, factoring in the collab aspect, I think it gets a boost for that reason
id say take away welcome to the jungle and who gon stop me and its 10/10
Goddamn it Goo don't you start hopping on this train too
That verse was misplaced bro. What was the point of it? Dope verse but didn't fit at all. Explain to me bc I could be wrong ya know
I still really like the chorus to Water
Verses were AWFUL
hands on is a favorite of mine
I think the production is unreal. the song is so strange
Only 1 verse from each per song
Pusha's verse had nothing to do with the subject of the song
Cudi and Ye never traded bars. Felt detached from each other
Reborn hook repeats 100 times with no change or progression
Idk some songs needed more meat/structure
Also it was just an EP.
Crazy amount of nonsense in this post. "No tradong of bars..." this aint your generic hip hop collab bud. They had incredible chemistry on every song. Reborn repetition literally ties into the theme of the song lol

Agreed on the production, it's like a really weird 2007-2009 outtake
I get the allure for KSG, but defending JIK, and especially Ye, as 'great' albums is a little far-fetched. Hope Donda is a return to form in some way, even a TLOP-level project would be a blessing at this point.

They are ass
Maybe he didn't want to rap to complex on a Pop Smoke song but yea the verse was mid.
It would've been better if they cut out the Martinez intro (or put it at the end) and the Push verse. Ye's part as an intro is fine

Well I disagree 💀
I know Push Verse was ass on the new Pop Smoke album and some Drake fans are having a ball s***ting on him, but let's not forget Push had the best rap verse of the year hands down on Palmolive. That s*** was amazing.
Need Madpush so bad.
WTT is a classic collab album.. No collab album topped the scale WTT had.
Black star is way better
Black star is way better
Thats why i didn't say its the best collab. I talked about the scale and the impact
id say take away welcome to the jungle and who gon stop me and its 10/10
You not dissing who gonna stop me …no. That ain’t happening . 😒
Whooooo gonna stop me now
What Would Meek Do, right?
What Would Meek Do is underrated because of the scoopity poop s***. Ye killed his verse
Pusha was due for a miss
It's alright
My hating ass hearing that wack ass Pusha verse
