donda may be better than scorpion but none of the songs on it touching this
!https://youtu.be/m3kVgCXFXdgLMAO
come to life s***s on this
jaded is the gem of scorpion real ones know
No hate on Drake, but his sound is too one dimensional to make a long album and he's shown no interest in experimenting
He does experiment but then folks call him a culture vulture when he does. I agree with drake not needing to have a double disc at all
LMAO

Scorpion might just be OK but I’m eternally thankful for it because it gave us Jaded
He does experiment but then folks call him a culture vulture when he does. I agree with drake not needing to have a double disc at all
thats cause his experimentation doesnt feel like a natural progression, just biting
Donda and Scorpion are nowhere near the same level tbh the lows on Scorpion are so f***ing low wow I remember that first listen felt like I wasted a day on it with how boring the whole thing was

he hops on trends and its obvious. its not like he's a pioneer on some wave like he was back in the day
thats cause his experimentation doesnt feel like a natural progression, just biting
nah to me it sounds like he tries different styles and then it becomes so popular that people just say he’s biting. I understand the argument of it. I’m just saying drake has experimented a few times, call it biting all you want but he has tried to switch it up

3 of the most iconic songs of the century (non-debatable) + deep cuts, but thats a diff discussion. Deny it all you want but the impact and cultural relevance of Scorpion is massive, to act like no one cares about it only shows how out of touch you are
Well the primary issue with Scorpion is that it sucks
Scorpion doesn't have enough good songs on it too have made a really solid project? Come on son.

Honestly God's Plan doesn't have a video no one gives a damn about the song
(Nonstop iconic ?)

what's the ideal tracklist in your opinion
That artists need to be better at trimming the fat off of projects. On the surface 20+ songs from your favorite artist sounds great. But in both cases it ends up being a project with just as many skips or meh tracks, as it has gems.
On first listen Donda starts off so explosive. That it's easy to want to call it a classic off rip. But the problem with these super bloated projects is, you give me 27 songs I can't just judge the project off the highest highs, I have to look at all 27 songs, and a lot of times in a number that high there's always going to be a lot of songs the project could've done without. Scorpion arguably could've been a classic had Drake cut the fat and gave us a 12-15 track album of only the gems. Instead there's a bunch of skips and throwaways detracting from just how quality some of the songs really are in the grand scheme.
Kanye been makin 18+ song albums since he came out and all of them have virtually no skips
drake on da otha hand..
he hops on trends and its obvious. its not like he's a pioneer on some wave like he was back in the day
“He hops on trends”
Is such a tiring argument, so many artists hop on trends. Hip Hop is ever growing you have to keep up with trends to keep making hits. And how many people have taken drake’s sound and made there careers with it, He was and still is a trend setter
Donda would be better if you take off Tell The Vision, OK OK OK and two of those part 2 songs
this tbh and junya
Scorpion might just be OK but I’m eternally thankful for it because it gave us Jaded
real

Just say you don't like it and keep it pushing, no need to invent fake narratives. It's a worldwide hit and has some of the most iconic lines of all time, Drake was locked in

its not like he does anything unique with the sounds he's hopping on. if you wanna hop on a trend, cool but make it standout from the rest

Some of his best videos came from this album too
Crazy how WLR was so long with only hits
That’s because the bar for Carti is way lower than drake and Kanye lmao.
No track on Donda is as bad as Ratchet Happy Birthday
