It's the exact opposite. When you fear Jesus/God you are pronouncing that they are the ultimate arbiters of good and evil and you then live your life as if you are being watched for the good and bad you do in the world. You then fear God's judgement.

It is the lefty/atheist types that seek to destroy the idea of God so that they can create their own new standards for right and wrong. By denying God, they make themselves (or whatever idol they create) accountable only to their own intellectual dishonesty which is where most of these people go morally astray (Communism killed 100+ million people).
