Im saying a lot of times when artist express confidence in themselves or are able to open up about insecurities they have I feel like a lot of the hate post for them comes from a place of envy
And not like an envy of their wealth or success
But an envy of their confidence or being able to confront their insecurity
I don’t think it’s that deep I just think people like anonymously s*** talking strangers

cold mountainfalse. if you think BTI is an example of super high tier quality rapping, (over albums like C3, TPAB or MBDTF, you know, actual classic hip hop albums) i am inclined to say that you either don't like rap music as a whole, or you haven't heard enough rap.
you can disagree if you'd like, but that's about where im at

KeeLemme tell you something man if Kanye made something with very similar concept to BTI. Everybody would eat that s*** up and say that it's one of the best albums Ye has ever made.
Even if Ye went through the effort with the outfits, videos and screenplay for an album era, niggas on here would be slurping it up
But because Donald did it, it's "corny" and "tryhard"

Also, you can pretty much deflect any criticism by saying “well, at least I have the courage to do it.” You did do it. And when you do it, we judge. That’s how this works.
Empathy for someone who constantly berates others, says theyd beat them to death and says they’re not a certain race because of a music opinion? Why would that person deserve empathy lol
