Well everyone was saying f*** Kid Rock which I agree entirely but Doja has done things just as bad so we should be maintaining that mentality

What has doja done that’s as bad as kid rock calling people f*gs and being a MAGA shill?

Racism can be funny as f*** y’all must not have grown up on Chappelle show. Either way to compare her to kid rock is comedy, doja is a cool ass girl even if mfs wanna pretend to be upset

They on his neck, rightfully so.

Entire review made her seem a s***ty person because she signed to Dr Luke before Kesha’s allegations, and for the fabricated chatroom incident. That entire article and only 6 sentences was about the new album

I don't think he's making her seem s***ty at all. He's saying that the allegations exist/existed, and the way she's handled them is interesting and new and clever.

he put them album in historical context, wrote two chunky paragraphs evaluating the music, and then wrote two concluding paragraphs about Doja's interesting spin on pop stardom

I don't see how there's conceivably anything wrong with that, it's a standard review

The entire review read as a backhanded complement. Kesha/Dr Luke situation is irrelevant to Doja and so is the fake chat room situation to the album. That’s like saying critics should’ve mentioned SZA’s homophobic tweets resurfacing during Ctrl dropping or Cardi d***ging men for Invasion of privacy review for “historical context”

Damn doja cat gettin dragged on these reviews lmao

  • Jun 21, 2021

Reviews that focus on what questionable s*** the artist has done will never get a read from me, how much energy can I dedicate to being outraged at people

More proof that these reviews don’t mean s***:

    avclub.com/doja-cat-loses-herself-in-the-pop-space-of-planet-her-1847140409?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_campaign=dlvrit&utm_content=avclub

“And many of the tracks on Planet Her recall Ariana Grande—primarily her thank u, next or Positions eras, where her and her high ponytail dominated the charts with hip-hop-infused, h****-as-hell pop grooves. As successful these influences are, it presents problems for Doja Cat, because she didn’t pioneer these now-popularized sounds, just copy and pasted them”

So Ariana Grande pioneered hip hop infused pop? Sounds very anti-black
