Y'all want to glorify rap, then be in here throwing a fit when a rap nigga isn't the best stand up human all the time. Rap has raw origins. Always has come from rough people with demons.

he wasnt even a good rapper and ill die on this hill

dudes average at best, ppl d*** ride him too much . He is just an icon and i cant knock him for that, he came with something different

but his fans ignore how he was a violent thug and rapist , who would scream about "peace" and act like an intellectual , i guess the secret to advancing the black community is by fondling and forcing urself on black women

    “violent thug and rapist”

Why even listen to rap at all if you this judgmental

  • Oct 14, 2021

Tupac slander is wild. Skillwise yeah many of his peers and contemporaries were better than him. It was the f***in 90s bruh. You had Scarface, Nas, Biggie, the Wutang Clan, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Mobb Deep, Jay Z, and many others who were killing it in the game while also having phenomenal pen game and freestyles. Doesn't mean that Tupac wasn't capable of rapping his ass off. He was talented as hell.

Black people are forgiving. The great thing about hiphop was that we still accepted people with a rough past. Nobody is expected to be perfect. And now we got white folks saying pac was a violent thug and rapist

We can talk all day about Pac tryna be something he's not (and that can be validated, yeah, claiming Piru in your 20s aint the smartest thing) but yall say studio gangsta but I aint never seen one of these "real" gangsters actually shoot a cop that was drunk and harassing them

    That's pretty gangsta to me.

wtf am saying he was right in the cop case , go ahead and defend pac

What does that have to do with u being mistaken that he beat the cop case bc of political power/connections and thus him not being able to do “the same” in the rape case makes him guilty ?

Exactly. People say he isn't the greatest because he wasn't always spitting lyrical miracle bars or because he was a man of questionable nature. He was him. He was iconic before his death, and his death obviously did add to it, but the way people these days will try to s*** on him is ridiculous. As a kid

Changes was the first song I learned word for word, and it's probably my most played song of all time. The first song I learned word for word, and it was a song really saying something. Not saying Thug or anybody CAN'T make music like that, but when is the last time you heard a modern artist craft something like that? With that type of content? Nigga was a leader. You can tell because every nigga that has even tried to remix has never done it justice.

I remember putting Changes in a presentation for Middle school and my mom (who don’t really f*** with rap bc of misogyny and violence etc) was walking by and caught some of it and was surprised that was Pac

    One of his best songs

That's so much of this site. I get s*** on every turn because I don't s***, immediately and violently, on anyone that's committed crime or be accused of a crime. Even their idols like flower boy have proven to have his own flaws and came up trying to say the darkest s*** possible. I've seen a lot of broken people in my life and call a broken place home, and that's what rap comes from.

It's people like DMX, Pac, Jay, Pun, that made way for rappers like Tecca to eventually change the culture and bring in outsiders. But before Lil Nas X, those were the damaged individuals rap was built on the back of and these new fans seem to forget it.

You tell me an artist in the MAINSTREAM making hits out of songs like Keep Ya Head Up, Dear Mama, Thugs Mansion, Brenda's Got A Baby, ect. That type of content as the biggest rapper out and making them hits is unheard of. Even Kendricks hits ain't like that.

bro it really erks me how so many outsiders are coming into rap and saying how it should be, or disapproving of the legends of the past because they don't fit the mold of how a modern human should act/think

I remember when boosie was catchin heat on here after the lnx bullshit that happened. and some kid was like "who the f*** even is boosie and why should we even care about him at all?"
