As a musician, I've never once regretted paying for concert tickets because I'm able to take something away from even really disappointing shows. I enjoy them the vast majority of the time and the bad ones are educational for me.
I have two hugely regrettable missed concerts though:
1. I was vacationing in the UK at the same time Big Star played a concert at Hyde Park in 2009 but didn’t plan to be there. Alex Chilton would pass away the following year.
2. I skipped seeing 808s at the Hollywood Bowl because I was broke and had just seen Kanye at FYF Fest. Stupid.
missing the chance to see big star would tear me up inside tbh
all the concerts i attend are niche and cheap, and my fav artists, so no. at one i spend like half of the time crowdsurfing and on stage lol
Not seeing Ye live before he fell off
Not seeing Travis live in a venue smaller than an arena
Going to the DONDA 2 show in 2022 and having my ear drums destroyed for one of the worst live performances ever because I had faith he’d at least perform a few of his classics
Going to donda 2 lowkey one of my biggest regrets too
I get secondhand embarrassment thinking about that fivio performance
yeezus tour
wish i could’ve gone but i was a sophomore and no one had a whip and even then i wasn’t paying attention to tours around that time like i was when i got older so
Going to donda 2 lowkey one of my biggest regrets too

I was in the crowd laughing so hard at the Fivio s*** I legitimately thought I was going to die
Hardest I’ve laughed in years that s*** was ridiculous
I wondered what it looked like on stream
They didn’t even have a feed of the camera on the Jumbotron, s*** was so wack
Alicia Keys did her thing tho

Hardest I’ve laughed in years that s*** was ridiculous
someone said he sounded like a football coach shouting out plays
I’m about to miss Fabiana Palladino because my friends want to see Saya Grey
Saw Dave Chappelle. He wasn't really funny and went on a long ass tangent about Chuck Berry that didn't land because most of the audience didn't know who that is
Went to a local 3 day festival. The headliners and only people I actually went to see were JID and Denzel Curry. Didn't enjoy it at all, realized I'm too old for that festival s***. Had to sit down and fell asleep during Denzel's set
Saw Shakatak with my dad about 2 years ago. Mfs are old, the female vocalist wasn't hitting like she should have
I regret not seeing Clockcleaner, Shellac, Puffy Areolas, Jay Reatard and the Jesus Lizard (only one of these I can still maybe remedy).
Lmao, the f*** are these names
It’s ok cause my mom brought me to see the throne when I was 13
my momma said no
yes, i went to the mall here in Houston and they were handing out GNX tour tickets for 70$ damn near the pit
so we took it and it was such a lackluster show. Mustard was runnng out of breath whenever he kept yelling sike and was sweating way too much into his equipment . SZA was literally not singing at all it was all backing tracks and Kendrick kept screaming his lyrics in order to show "energy"
2/10 show, Rich Baby Daddy was the only song that had the crowd semi turnt
are u trolling
I’m about to miss Fabiana Palladino because my friends want to see Saya Grey
i just saw her last night shes so f***ing good bro f*** ur friends go by urself to the show
Tyler the creator Igor tour I was right behind front row in the pit but they oversold it so it was extremely claustrophobic and I had nothing to hang onto once I got pushed off the barrier. Ended up kinda freaking out and just left the pit altogether because I could hardly breathe. Wish I woulda just stuck it out

f*** the opera house lmao

What'd he say about chuck lol
only big concert regret is Kendrick Damn tour, most expensive ticket I ever got but venue was total s***, basically couldn't see nor hear anything lol. plus my friend was late and missed James Blake opening and also forgot it was my bday at midnight 🙂
also lowkey primavera sound 22 was mad overpriced and not even that enjoyable, just way too crammed + insane they made bringing water illegal and only had one single fountain on the whole site to fill a bottle. kind of turned me off big festivals. but tbf I also caught covid on the first day and powered through whole weekend w a fever lmao
but yh all the best music events I've been to have cost at most 30 bucks tbh
Dang Primavera 2017 was amazing even though f*** face frank didn't show up
i missed a death grips concert because i didnt figure theyll be on in the evening when i had my flight back. but as part of that event thinking back id rather had seen sophie or black midi
almost went to sunn and swans concerts but didnt end up going. my two best friends traveled for a metallica concert and i didnt go to the concert but we traveled together. those arent as much regrets since i dont care for live music but yeah definitely notable misses
Saw DG and Swans same weekend at Primavera 2017
I got sick for two back to back weekends missing Yuji and 100 Gecs. It was some wild timing by god to f*** me up with an intense migraine one weekend, then a stomach bug for the next.
