This is one of the most refreshing projects I’ve heard in a while honestly. I had only heard of her on Isaiah’s album but she really made a fan out of me with this one. Hats off to Doechii this is fantastic

she also says when she checks the messages she had to zoom in and do a double take, seemingly because she recognized the person

it sounds more like doechii was set up more than cheated on or in a relationship with the person as a male, the end of that verse makes it sound like she played dumb and accepted the apology or w/e just to rob them back or get her s*** back. Im assuming it was a d*** deal gone bad, because the rest of the song is about her being strung out or addicted, hence why the title is Denial is a river ( the nile is not just a river in Egypt, old humor play on words)
