the moffat episode was a fluke. we really aren't back.

we've had like 1 and a half good episodes, and i think i would have preferred if moffat came back instead of davies. there's something... off about this entire season. and the only time that didn't feel like the case for me was last week's episode.

this new ep was great, def best episode we’ve had in a long time

next ep is giving off series 2 mixed with a s*** episode of black mirror

but this season has been pretty good so far

i don't think having a white straight dude within an white ethnostate and having him act more like the doctor than ncuti in most of his run was a good idea, im not gonna lie to you boys.

Dunno why it has to be said, but having the Doctor fall in love with a rando in a single episode is a really dumb idea!

All these people trying to bring up Girl in the Fireplace as a defense too. It wasn't good in that episode either!

I liked girl in the fireplace it was kinda cute and nothing came of it. The difference in this one to me is that it felt more base level and objectifying in a way that is just not like the doctor at all, and the concept itself is already very unlike the doctor.

Season sucked btw

so i dont watch this show at all but why did ncuti leave so quickly and why the hell is the new doctor a former companion ?

Kinda nuts that we're back in the same situation that the people in the 80s were.

Hopefully it won't take another 20 years for them to do something with this.

They still doing like 20 audiobooks every month
It will be back sooner rather than later

Yep. There's a spinoff show coming out but no renewal or confirmation of plans for anything further from the main show.

And said cliffhanger was shot at the last minute because they didn't even know if Ncuti was going to leave until last minute

Would have been no shame having a normal send off/ ending that doesn’t change much of the status quo to give the series a break like 3 doctors ago, feels like they just kept dragging it. Have him fly off for more adventures end the current run for a bit easy money

Post tumblr/ Matt Smith era show fell off relevancy culturally I feel. At least in the states.

Honestly I think they only did this because Billie will be easy to get to return in like 5 years if they decide to pick it back up. It's basically built in nostalgia for the future with someone they can bank on rather than starting it with a new Doctor or leaving Ncuti as the "final" one for the time being

Wonder why Ncuti left so soon. Seems post Capaldi they have had a hard time keeping Docs on I haven’t watched since the 12ths like second season
