Didn't even watch the first but I love Raimi so much I thought about seeing this.

Then I remembered it's just a Marvel movie. They're all Marvel movies. Sigh

maybe it’s cus I think the multiverse is a gimmick but I wouldn’t know until I see it

The whole excitement arc ended with Endgame

Now its just the whole multiverse gimmick being dragged with every movie so they can sync the "phases"

Idk if it’s just a placebo but the sound of the civilians screams, the way the city sets look etc. it’s magical

I just mean the overall bombastic final fight scenes where it's always CGI monsters or END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT stakes

This feels like it for me too. Just in general these past few years with crossovers and franchises, it feels like the cynical side is so apparent now.

The NWH cycle really ramped things up to absurd levels and all the speculation and red circles for the year before the movie lowkey robbed it of its magic for me, at least the crossover stuff. The ending was more of what I wanted from it. And i think the same is happening with this. Almost every convo is about a cameo.

That being said the multiverse already seems and sounds more entertaining in this than NWH. Next week I hope the feeling is restored. But even then I know the conversation will eventually lean heavily into the Everything Everywhere comparisons. Im already tired
