hip hop as a whole is irrelevant as f*** now compared to 5 years ago, that’s a real problem that needs addressing but as long as the two biggest artists in the genre too busy obsessing over each other nothing will change

I think there not being a number 1 is much better, we need to start appreciating and respecting the genre as a whole instead of flexing numbers that clearly don’t reflect the quality

Hip hop is still the most dominant subculture. even the streaming s*** is still hip hop centered

That monoculture s*** is dead.
There will never be another #1 after Drake.
There will be a bunch of niggas hitting billions of streams with dedicated fan bases (and bots).

So long as drake fans keep pointing out that people are streaming his old music a lot, then the narrative won't change
