Kinda
Has made some amazing songs throughout his career and for that im thankful
I see how people can heavily dislike him but i just cant
Dudes writing paragraphs on why they don’t like Drake
Idk if it’s because we’re apparently now in the era of anti-intellectualism, but the fact that niggas on ktt are consistently proud to boast about the fact that they can’t read beyond two sentences will never not be hilarious to me
2011-2017 era of Drake music wise was honestly a great time. Whether it was rap, RnB, or Pop, he would deliver some sort of catchy tune that would be one of the hottest songs of the year. I have a bunch of Drake songs from that timeframe in plenty of playlists. The guy KNOWS how to make a really catchy song.
2018 to now though? He really just doesn’t have his heart in it anymore, as each release gets lazier and lazier.
But him as a person and what he represents in the genre? The guy has been a cornball for a long ass time, pretty much from the start. Playing victim, the fake accents, the biting, the handling of OVO artists, the tough guy act and acting like a street dude, hiding his child, shaming his baby momma, talking about other people wives/girls, the anti-blackness, the Stake gambling, the lies, the Pharrell chain, the Push beef, the Kendrick beef and actually so much more. He is the symbol of what is wrong with rap music all wrapped into one person.
And essentially this. Except he’s in the Kanye level for me (obviously not comparing the actions of the two) where I just don’t give af about their musical output anymore, people could be saying he dropped his version of MBDTF and I would not be inclined to listen. Sometimes it’s as simple as not f***ing with someone’s energy, and his energy has been f***ed up for damn near a decade

Surprise to see that wasn’t written by Alphonse lol
I like some of his music
the constant crying from him and his weirdo fanbase is tiring tho

Who wrote this?
Early Drake was so clear musically, that partnership with 40 was so f***ing potent. Current Drake kinda losing me tho, Drake projects just don’t “wow” me like they used to.
I think he was pretty special up until Views, then he started to lose me, but that and More Life still had some winners.
Everything since then has been diminishing returns, with CLB, FATD and $$$ being the absolute lowest lows for me. I see him mostly as a streamslop artist now sadly, but the '09 to '15 run still speaks for itself.
The only reason why b****es f*** with him's due to the s***appeal.
If he were out here looking like Hov dropping the bullshit that he drops, his fan base would be cut in half & the hoes would think his s*** is whack.

I'll add that he has a few bops since 2018 as well and that while he's not exactly a good person you should never really worship your idols but yeah, pretty much agreed

I like Drake but acknowledge he’s mostly fallen off since Views. I still listen to a lot of his pre-2016 music.
The way people talk about him on here is often horrible bait though. Worst part is the pearl clutching about a rapper promoting gambling lol
Nathan Drake?
Hell yea!

Very real
