Knowledge is also a factor on your IQ, also there is no such thing as "genetic intelligence".
The importantce lf IQ testing is overstated imo. It's useful for determining disabilities, but among the general population there really isn't a huge discrepancy.
If you have a high IQ, it means you're good at taking the IG test.
Uh, I believe in genetics and that cultures value certain traits while devaluing others. I like some of my traits and dislike others.
Thread just seems like bait to endorse social Darwinism.
Just one? lol sure

There's plenty of literature on the effect that the environment has on intelligence.
Read the study you actually linked and you'll see why this isn't good evidence. Didn't take me that long to spot why.

Well yeah, Binet originally created the IQ test to detect educational deficiencies in children. IQ is an incredibly overrated and abused metric.
We're talking about genetics as a factor of intelligence
Looking back up I said the only argument that exists is the extent genetics play vs environmental factors
there's no such thing as an intelligence factor. people have different intelligences based on how they're wired.
you're confusing intelligence with the propensity to identify connections and patterns.
another explanation: plants and trees can't a***ytically reason yet they react and respond to stimuli in an intelligent manner
intelligence is more broad that human IQ
I don't even need argue if intelligence is determined by genetics or not. Every academic or researcher will tell you yes.
The only argument that exists in numerology/psychology is what what extent vs environmental factors
true
Knowledge is also a factor on your IQ, also there is no such thing as "genetic intelligence".
how is there no such thing as genetic intelligence?
everybody is not born with the same baseline intelligence
Read the study you actually linked and you'll see why this isn't good evidence. Didn't take me that long to spot why.
I have read it, please do tell me why it's not evidence for genetics not determining intelligence.
IQ is such a limiting term
thats why you can't have a conversation about intelligence
IQ is such a limiting term
thats why you can't have a conversation about intelligence
this though, IQ is nonsense.
how is there no such thing as genetic intelligence?

There is no "genetic intelligence" there's only an effect of genetics on intelligence through interaction with the environment that the individual is in.
We fighting over who’s the master race when the REAL master race aka robots , boutta come enslave and f*** us all
there's no such thing as a singular intelligence
the IQ tests the propensity to identify connections and patterns
Yeah, you're talking about the multi variable theory
actually.. do genes play a part in intelligence? now im unsure
yeah, they absolutely do. it's just not singular, different people have different intelligences (analytic, personal, etc)
There is no "genetic intelligence" there's only an effect of genetics on intelligence through interaction with the environment that the individual is in.
SAY IT LOUDER
genetics definitely play a part in intelligence....
Nobody would deny that, but if somebody says "intelligence is genetic", you can safely assume that person has pretty much no knowledge about either genetics or intelligence.

ok what are you saying
Yeah, you're talking about the multi variable theory
yeah, it's the most sound theory to me.
something gotta explain why i'm so smart yet so clueless HAHAHA
