name one govt of 2021 that's not
New Zealand
I think it's been used as a pretense for some of the most heinous acts ever committed in human history. I think it legitimizes a lot of bad things. It's easily manipulated, and there are such enormous forces designed to do just that. It doesn't really stand for anything in itself. I'm not a "Churchill guy" but his quote about democracy being "the worst form of government except for all others" might be apt.

Humans are s***ty
New Zealand
lol nz are in the same realm as the rest of the five eyes, they just get the best social experiments
Also Democracy clearly exists in the U.S.A.
It's a representative democracy, someone like Synopsis posting some utterly stupid statement about how "Everyone wants legalized marijuana but we don't have it" doesn't negate the fact that America is a democratic system.
You voted for a representative who acts on behest of the people, however there are rules, regulations and process, and Synopsis, someone with a political science major essentially going "Well why doesn't he just DO X" when it might not actually be feasible or politically savy to do so is a real braindead take.
But Synopsis is the only braindead conspiracy theorist allowed to post on this site with reckless abandon so ofc he makes that take
My only point of contention with this is “representative”.
The land votes
Wow okay
yes
that’s why people living in small states have higher individual influence over national elections
because the land votes
Stupid post considering Bloomberg got molly whopped and spent 500 million on his presidential campaign
Money is clearly not the sole denoting factor on who wins U.S. Elections and if you had any sense of context a***ysis you would realize that.
Bloomberg ran to divide the vote & aid in Bernie losing the primaries
it’s not that difficult
yes
that’s why people living in small states have higher individual influence over national elections

How do they have more influence, the electoral college exist for that very reason, to balance the votes between smaller and larger states
A lot of posters in America get mad for sometimes legitimate reasons, but usually its just having a completely inadequate understanding of their own Countries' government.
Joe Biden beat Bernie Sanders with 0 infrastructure in most States and less funding. He also beat Bloomberg who literally spent half a billion on the primary alone.
And when we give people like Synopsis the reason behind these events, he gets angry that we don't buy into some bad faith conspiracy concerning a Democratic cabal that maliciously conspired to debunk the will of the people.
You guys just like to make yourselves unnecessarily angry. You want to have your cake and eat it too. You guys love pretending that other people are stupid online and then wonder why people vote for utter s*** representatives like Joe Manchin, or how half the country voted for Donald Trump because you secretly think everyone is some hidden socialist just waiting to be activated. It's a weird level of arrogance where everyone is stupid but secretly agrees with you at the same time
We tell you people voted for Biden because he garnered the endorsements of their representatives, was the former VP to the first Black president, and had high likability (He was favored to win prior) and then you guys get mad at us like we insulted your family with these objective descriptions of the US election.
Tl;dr you guys need to grow up
just read through your post & figure i should give a tl;dr for anyone else tempted to read:
“i don’t know what i’m talking about”
Bloomberg ran to divide the vote & aid in Bernie losing the primaries
it’s not that difficult
bloomberg probably took biden voters away. warren running and staying in so long probably hurt bernie the most
....
lol i read his previous post like “okay lemme see what this guy has to say” then he wrote this
How do they have more influence, the electoral college exist for that very reason, to balance the votes between smaller and larger states
a single vote from north dakota is more important than a single vote in california because electoral college
a single vote from north dakota is more important than a single vote in california because electoral college
Is it because cali is guaranteed blue or? I dont get this thinking
bloomberg probably took biden voters away. warren running and staying in so long probably hurt bernie the most
this is also true
i think Bloomberg ran to make those who don’t pay attention to politics think “i’m choosing 1/5 of these guys” then when he dropped out & endorsed Biden, it was like “oh well i guess Biden has my vote now” (and same with Bootyjeg & everyone else)
by doing that, Biden’s odds of winning from casual voters were a lot higher than they would’ve been been if it started out as Biden vs. Bernie (50/50)
How do they have more influence, the electoral college exist for that very reason, to balance the votes between smaller and larger states
the electoral college is exactly why it’s not balanced
Bloomberg ran to divide the vote & aid in Bernie losing the primaries
it’s not that difficult
"Bloomberg ran to divide the vote & aid in Bernie losing the primaries"
Bloomberg, a billionaire and former mayor, ran to divide the vote...
Among who? Joe Biden who's voter base he bit into?
Nonsensical statement. Bloomberg ran in order to win and hamper down on Bernie's momentum which proved ineffective anyway.
However Bloomberg didn't aid in Bernie losing the primary. Bloomberg was inconsequential. He was a late entrant into the race, got destroyed in his first local debate, literally just ate up a minor portion of Biden's potential voter base, and ended up squandering millions in the primary alone.
cnbc.com/2020/03/04/mike-bloombergs-expensive-presidential-run-turns-into-epic-failure.html
You say that as if Bloomberg didn't run with hopes of becoming President. How vague a statement is "ran to divide the vote".
Divide what vote? You do realize you stating that "Bloomberg ran to divide the vote and aid in Bernie losing the primaries" is a contradictory pair of statements?
Biden only one when the moderates stopped dividing the vote and coalesced around him. In fact, Bernie's strategy was literally to win amongst a divided ground of moderates. While yes, Bloomberg admittedly stated he ran in order to beat the likes of Sanders and Trump, however he didn't squander 500 million in order to divide the vote. What a stupid statement. Is Bloomberg some sort of foreign spy lmao.
Is it because cali is guaranteed blue or? I dont get this thinking

It isn’t that difficult to understand
Is it because cali is guaranteed blue or? I dont get this thinking
population/electoral votes = people per vote
39,560,000/55 = 719272.727
779,094/3 = 259698
Is it because cali is guaranteed blue or? I dont get this thinking
the ratio of the amount of people in California to the amount of electors California has to vote is smaller than that ratio for North Dakota, meaning the people who vote on which way the elector votes in California have a much smaller individual influence on the election than those in North Dakota
population/electoral votes = people per vote
39,560,000/55 = 719272.727
779,094/3 = 259698
& 719272/259698 is about 2.76, meaning the vote of each person in North Dakota holds as much weight in national elections as the vote of 2.76 people in California
this is also true

Literally headcanon for the motives of irl people. Bloomberg endorsed Biden after Super Tuesday, where he won a single primary in the American Samoa.
Biden literally had all the endorsements from all of the notable debate candidates prior to Bloomberg's endorsement.
What is this revisionist history of "BLOOMBERG WAS THE TIPPING POINT FOR BIDEN'S WIN"
How dumb are you lmao
