I love this guy’s work as an artist and in this context I dont’t give a f*** about his political statements - will probably check whatever he decides to release.

Well yeah he’s a genius curator, which includes music, design, and aesthetics.
Doesn’t translate well over to politics though
He's not capable of making another MBDTF
Would love to be proven wrong but the past few years have shown that
I think a lot of music fans will be willing to listen to his new music. I know I am ready for new Ye despite all the s*** that went down. Unfortunately he has lost it, I don't think he is able to create another classic.
Donda 1 is a certified classic
There is no public to win back. Meaning, the second that dude announces a a listing party, a show whatever people will be there lol Kanye isnt “canceled”. If he was, Adidas wouldn’t have sold the shoes and he wouldn’t be in the top 20 streaming artists or whatever that s*** is.
Everyone here should watch Brad Tromels video “The Literalists”
Donda’s literally a classic album and an all-time return record.
It dropped two years ago.
The guy definitely has another grand project in the tank
I’m not worried at all.
Bro definitely past the point of caring, unfortunately
But we love Ye! I hope nothing but the best for him and hope he does bless us with some good future tunes!

Adidas sold the shoes because they didn't want to lose $1.3 billion dollars
I've spoke to a fair few people who have said they don't mess with Kanye anymore but they said they'd still play his music regardless
Even if he announced a Late Registration in full concert I wouldn't buy tickets tbh
& that's been in my top 10 albums for like 15 years
This is never going to happen and it’s mainly due to his ego. I think he CAN make an album like that if he just locks in but he really doesn’t have the time or reason to do that anymore. Anything you get now is just him doing it for the thrill of the attention rather than pushing boundaries/reinventing the wheel like he did with the first 6.
He does what he does for him. Only time he didn’t was MBDTF but he’s already proved
that he can make “perfect”
Donda to me is an example of something that could have been perfect if that’s what he desired to do but clearly he just wanted to create something hot and allow others to pick up his slack
The general public don't care about the internet shenanigans. We are just alot more warped into it and that goes for many artists. Twitter is a vocal minority who forget and move on to the next pray to cancel
I mean, after what went down, bro's exiled himself yet again & deleted all of his socials.
It's evident he's working on new music, but do you think (with his controversy being at an all time high) he even cares about putting out something that's so perfect, people will forgive him for the absolute f***ery he's done?
I mean, as far as his mental's concerned, I heard he's back on track.
He's done with the 2024 s***, Is no longer on Social Media, & seems to be laser focused on his fashion line & music. (according to people in his circle)
Even then, if it's a return to form (like secular, rappity rap Ye with maximal production etc) & it's critically acclaimed by both the public & the media outlets, does it make up for the antisemitic b.s.?
Just wanna' get y'all's thoughts cause I've been done with him, but revisited his catalog this past week or two & it's just sad to see bro do this to himself time/after time & (WE) keep allowing it.
I also think he's at a point where s*** doesn't matter & he's just gonna' focus on his family & whatever else is going on (which is completely cool)
What are y'all thoughts?
I think he's gonna' attempt a comeback, but have no clue how it's gonna' turn out.
He already did that with Donda (as good as MBDTF just has way more songs so you need to slim it down if you want a “perfect album” like MBDTF). Then he destroyed his image a bit after with the Jew/nazi things. It’s just the kanye way my friend.
He doesn’t need to do anything to win back the public eye. Everyone is extremely interested in his journey whether they agree with his antics or not.

"Donda's" nowhere close to being "MBDTF" level quality lol.
Even if you trim the fat.
It has some decent records, but the best track on there doesn't compete with the weakest track on "MBDTF".
I get what you're saying though.
Maybe for Ye's standards in today's day n' age it's the "perfect" album in his eyes.
The rollout & the album itself surly was ambitious.
But like most of his work post "Yeezus", was scatterbrain af.
It doesn't even feel like a Kanye album to me either.
Feels more like a curation by him.
Whenever he's on a track too, he's the worst part of the song.
Only tracks he was spitting on were "Jesus Lord" & "LIfe of The Party" (aside from that awkward ass flow)
"Off The Grid" was meh to me even when he was trying to rap double-time.
Just hate the s*** he's been spewing these past couple records.
he’s been struggling with fame since like the beginning
he just has to retire atp. even if he makes a MBDTF level record, it’s not worth whatever sacrifices he has to make on his mental
if he wants to keep the legend status, he should just focus on himself, get better. there will be (understandably) a lot of ppl who would never forgive him. but there’s also plenty of ppl who would be happy for him if he just got better and moved on with his life.
by all means he has the ability to make an all time classic, songs like LOTP and come to life are proof, but i don’t think he’s interested or engaged enough to make a concise record
I don't think he's capable of another MBDTF. S*** his fans be putting together better albums with his work these days

People’s minds are so warped by rap Twitter that they also don’t realize Kanye will be alive perhaps another 40 years. Bowie had a number of interesting comeback albums between his peak era and his death, finally ending with Blackstar - one of the best records of his career. Kanye will undoubtedly go down like that, I think.

I remember in the first drink champs interview he said he made Donda to prove he was back and that he was still on top of the game, he treated it as a comeback album similar to MBDTF. It’s just that he isn’t anywhere close to his creative peak anymore. He is more indecisive and that’s why his albums are worked on till the last minute whereas MBDTF was perfected to the very last bit. If Donda 2 or the snips from last year are any indication, he’s still musically creative but he’s not touching anywhere close to MBDTF or Yeezus or any of the albums before that

110% agree
