Back in those times having a cover that was visually pleasing was almost as important as the music itself. This is due to people only buying big vinyl records with huge pictures. The covers were very visible even moreso than CDs and you couldn't just scroll away like in your phone.

got Cosmic Slop vinyl recently nothing beats a crazy cover to gaze upon when listening (except a good visualizer that incorporates the albums color scheme on your big screen for album listening parties)
