its not just like copies of existing style or One Direction tier. a lot of important innovations even though they obviously surpassed it within a few years.
writing their own songs, more complex songwriting, harmony/chords, firmly establishing the rock band format, arragements
some things were already done before but they combined in extremely flesh ways. ex: managing to successfully combine Everly Bros style flawless harmonies with Little Richard style rock energy must have been the craziest s*** ever that we take for granted now
there are some that aren't that interesting like Love Me Do but ones like She Loves You or I Want to Hold Your Hand are popular music landmarks not just because they were so huge
