It’s always foreigners and whites that can’t tell when a lightskin person is black because interracial marriage is banned in their family
you are a f***ing racist
Idk as someone who was the inspiration for this thread I still think Pink falls under that racially ambiguous umbrella
Like if u told me she had an Indian parent I would believe you
Pink Pantheress looks like an East African black woman bruh, cut the s*** lmfao. I could show you plenty who look just like her, especially in Ethiopia, even tho she’s of Kenyan heritage
Chase infiniti zoe kravitz is that example
nah Lisa Bonet’s daughter is not racially ambiguous. they both look like lightskin black girls especially with them locs
edit: looked up the other shorty. that hairstyle let’s me know she one of us hahaha

I am the biggest PP fan in this website but this single time this isnt bout me
someone isn't racially ambiguous just because people who dont encounter black people often think they're south asian
I agree but there are subsect of people who think anything that off the "norm" is "ambiguous"
You both are right, imo
And as a mixed person myself I've faced it (my dad n my is black mom is Irish n Italian) - but I faced it moreso after I left the Bayarea, which the Bayarea is like the most interracial place ever not just USA but iirc the world (not just black/white neither) and is very normal there
Sometimes I get "spanish" due to my light skin (I'm in-between like JCole n Drake, I guess), a few times I got asked if I was mixed with "Asian" islander due to my light skin and cuz also I have more prominent native American (again, another bayarea feature, cherokee is very prominent there and have an ancestry of black people mixing with them during slave and civil rights eras, n my gma on my black side of the family highly mixed with native in modern age comparatively) feature that shape my eyes a bit more almond, some people confused altogether and feel like they just gotta ask etc. - even tho I'm tall asl, jet black coarse hair, n full lips n nose n from one of the most prominent black cities in USA, Oakland
It's the rarest but even a few other black ppl have asked as well
It depends on the area and the demo of the people - some people can tell you're mixed, some think you're just one race, some people don't care, some people are confused/curious, and some people are outright offended
I actually think ppl don't realize how much other people scrutinize n catagorize race and "racial features" to the littlest "out of the norm" thing even if like 95% of the person is "standard" - very weird, and it ignores how there is variation within "pure races" too some that can also vary such as, again, black people - but it always gets thrown out the window with those that cared enough to even ask or wonder or think about it
Just remembered too I've been asked like twice in life if I'm some kind of middle eastern or middle eastern mixed
Once irl n once online, n one of them (a middle eastern girl) thot I was lying when I said no n thot I was tryna hide it for being some kind ashamed n she was offended 💀

honestly this is what gives me the strength to fill out the hundredth job app after getting turned down by the first 99

Pics of this obviously black woman for reference
I thought she was south asian with her straightened hair
Y’all know who her daddy is
