Half of politics is performative that’s basically what got Trump elected in the first place lol. The point was to get media attention on his name for his inevitable presidential campaign in ‘28, to make headlines railing against Trump for dem voters to see that despite the dems having no control in the house or senate they’re doing something like AOC & Bernie’s political tour.
Should’ve actually filibustered something though and his voting record in this latest admin already leaves something to be desired
I will give him credit compared to a lot of yappers that do this s***, like Ted Cruz literally just read Green Eggs & Ham at one point of his filibuster, Booker was actually making points and staying on topic the entire time afaik

He ran in 2020 too. I don’t remember him standing out in any particular way during the race though tbh before bowing out to Biden.
If anything he’ll probably bow out again to whoever takes the reigns with the expectation of getting appointed Secretary of something.

He's an opportunist who cares more about his image than doing anything truly meaningful with his position. I can easily see him dropping out if someone lobs him a cabinet spot.
