He was on top of the world lol literally in the 90's I was talking to him and it's just crazy like you reach that level of success and still addicted from no constant help from his peers.

Exactly what I’m thinking. This must be the worst f***ing situation to be in as a family and I dread the day this falls on my lap. Either take him off life support to let him pass or let him live in a vegetative state/braindead for the rest of his life? Jesus man..
