I was watching one of dmx's interviews and after like 2 minutes in i was thinking damn did he have adhd? Did my googles and found out he got diagnosed in 2012

Thinking about how different his life coulda been if he got diagnosed earlier and got the proper treatment he needed earlier coulda changed his life is so sad honestly, and to think how many more people this applies to....

I can't remember if Mo Money Mo Problems or Party Up was the first banger rap song I heard that made me love the genre, but it doesn't matter, it was one of 2

Even though back in the day I wasn't specifically a fan his music was so powerful so many memories of my life I think back too that I adore his music is in the background.

Than when I was old enough and officially a rap fan and able to go back and get that nostalgic hit of his music and than find new classics too, I was able to appreciate the artist that he was. What made him unique was his authenticity. Kanye later in his career would f*** up his flow cause he felt like it during a song to say what he wants to say, X did that originally and so smoothly to just spit what he wanted to spit, only improved the songs he did it on.

Random thoughts but pure soul, amazing artist. RIP.
