I’m all for anything that works and doesn’t kill people man. There’s such a mixed reception around tasers because of their effectiveness but I’d think rubber bullets would be better. Not sure though.

It isn’t as simple as you are making it and I hate having to justify the actions of a cop who was likely more than happy to gun down a young black woman that day but if he had all the time in the world, then I’d agree with this but he didn’t. We are talking about mere seconds here having to choose between using lethal or non lethal force that possibly results in one or the other getting killed. If he had showed up with an actual opportunity to deescalate the situation and still ended up making the decision he made, I’d also agree but that also, unfortunately, wasn’t the case. We can speak hypothetically and talk about what if’s but the fact of the matter is, there wasn’t much time to do much of anything other than what he did. We can’t know what would have happened had she been allowed to get that knife off but I do know if you intend to harm someone with a steak knife, guess what, you gone harm they ass plain and simple lmao it’s just unfortunate. You don't know how much damage could have resulted from that. People can die and people have died from it, whether it was intentional or accidental. The officer wasn't going to wait around to find out which outcome it was.
