It's obvious he had his car blew up. At this point, you're trying to find any entry point to mitigate the damage he caused.
So yes, he had his car blown up but what was the current status of the relationship between Diddy and Cassie? Why did Cudi feel Cassie played him? How did Diddy find where Cudi lived? Why did Diddy feel like Cassie was still his girl at the time?
You're just trying to find any way to make this semi plausible, and painting Cassie as a manipulative lying pos goes a long way towards that.

In retrospect Cudi kinda became anti industry for a few years. I wouldn’t be surprised if this what set him up.
Probably a lot of weird s*** going in behind the scenes that steered Cudi away. I always saw Cudi as one of the most authentic/normal people in the industry. I don’t think the depressing moody music was him being edgy I think that was cathartic for him

There's no way anyone's going for diddy having nothing to do with it, but if Cassie ran a play, or assisted in facilitating the play in any way, then that makes her look awful.
Not saying that that's the case at all, I'm just saying that Steel's point of Diddy and Cudi being played by Cassie was solid
