Juror 216 (male) I work for NYC Transit. I was charged with assaulting a police officer, it got dismissed. I was on 102 and Lexington, a police officer was bracing up, they searched me and I put him in a choke hold.
Judge: Would you be biased against the police?
Juror 216: I used to be. Now I know some officers. I mean, I could have complied. Then I was arrested with a gravity knife and had to pay a fine.
Judge: Ever a victim?
216: I woke up from being unconscious and my sneakers had been stolen.
Juror 216: One of my sisters said she was raped in college. Another said she was abused by our step-father. We never talked about it. She was accused of stabbing her husband. I had to pick up her kids from the precinct. They are separated now. I wasn't there.
