    he has like 1267 songs

Maybe other rappers could make 1267 songs and they'll become the most streamed rapper. Great idea why did no one do that.

ngl we need to stop thinking thousands of likes on a tweet represent anything, especially for someone with tens of millions of listeners

twitter itself has 335 million active monthly users, while drake has around 73 million monthly listeners on spotify alone, between youtube, apple music and smaller streaming platforms he prolly has at least 150 million listeners rn, isn’t that a better indicative of his popularity than 40k likes against him?

(i just googled all these numbers)

Do you know what falling off means or do I need to explain it to you?

Falling off can mean many things. We all collectively agree Eminem fell off but he's still one of the highest selling rappers every single time he drops

I think concert sales are the only real way you can judge popularity. Streams don't do anything for me cause playlist placement and bots and farms really dictate who is popular more than people organically listening to the music they decided they want to hear

And that's not to discredit Drake he's one of the biggest touring acts in music he's absolutely still top of his game. I just think we should shift the conversation to numbers that actually matter instead of the numbers that are so easily manipulated

Na its cause he failed to grow as an artist and person and is still making the same music he was making 15 years ago--just worse than before and in a different package

He's actually regressed as a person and his music has become more hateful towards women so yeah it's safe to say losing Black women did play a part in his sudden unpopularity.

going from making respectful songs about women even if it was mostly just nice guy bullshit and showing love to Black women in your videos to becoming known for being bitter & weird towards any girl who doesn't spread their legs for him & becoming a passport bro was never going to sit right with the strong female fan base he once had.

Kinda maybe, maybe not numbers wise but I feel like he been catering too much to the average US male. His albums from CLB onwards (outside of HNVM) have so much generic trap music and have lacked universal hits like In My Feelings, Nice for What, One Dance etc. He needs to get away from OZ, Tay Keith, 21, Lil Yachty etc as soon as possible imo.
