also Phife dying before the album was finished makes this a cheat code
awful comparison
No lol the quality of the album has nothing to do with that. The album isn’t held high because of that, it’s legitimately great
@op they using the “why we gotta compare” copout to avoid picking one like the whole site doesn’t compare other artists and catalogs daily
Meanwhile you could make “2Pac vs Carti” thread and it would go 50-50
So sick of this sentiment. It’s fine to compare art. This is a music discussion forum. If you didn’t come to engage in the conversation then why did you open the thread?
you're right I shouldn't have clicked it
regardless you're conflating discussion with comparisons (let alone completely reductive comparisons about "what's better")

they just couldn’t be more different

not what I’m saying at all lol the album is a masterpiece
just that extra x factor

Niggas so scared to say ATCQ had the better album for whatever reason lol

Dawg the clipse album JUST DROPPED
it really is tough tho
both albums made me cry
I always did vibe with tribe quirkiness more and the production is better
gotta go with tribe
LL is a worthy addition to this discussion as well
That s*** was f***ing crazy out of nowhere, as to be expected with qtip tho
For me, Tribe is little bit more emotional/impactful, because it wasn't guaranteed that Q-Tip and Phife would've got back together to make their last album and on top of that, Phife passing was almost the nail in the coffin.
So for Tip to announce and surprise drop the album, it was a huge special moment.
Honestly, the true best album of 2016 right there.
Clipse, imo there was always a possibility, I think Malice really just had to go through a spiritual journey to comeback wiser and stronger than ever.
And with Push polishing his skills, this album was a reunion we all been waiting for.
With that said, it's still early and overall this has been 2 of the most emotional moments in Hip-hop history.
But Tribe wins it by far
Okay? What does that change lmao
u been angry in clipse threads the last 6 days straight

Oh nah the album is great. I'm just finding the people acting like it's the best rap album dropped this decade, along with the people doing OD hating on it obnoxious as all f***.
It's been ruining any honest discussion that can be had in regards to the album.

Push might be lurking the site tbh
I could never connect with early Tribe nearly as much as Clipse but idk We Got It From Here is amazing. Would need to revisit.
Missing out man. Early Tribe is too impactful.
