There will be exceptions but on the whole that album didn’t move the culture .

Red clearly isn’t a classic and hasn’t resonated as such

You’re clearly not on the scene

    But maybe one day

When Carti was normie all day casuals liked his music

Those same casuals only listen to what’s trending/being pushed onto them

You do not get the same energy, vibe or even attitude listening to Sir Cartier as you do with Stop Breathing

Stop Breathing can replace your coffee in the morning and you’ll be perfectly fine.

I like the leaks though but Carti stepped up heavy on the real WLR. The OG WLR sounded like Die Lit 2.

    We needed this aggressive WLR.

You know what? I literally cant argue with this. Great points.

I liked the leaks but i'm so glad WLR didn't turn out to be Die Lit 2.0

I was so caught off guard by the fact that the album didn't sound like every other trap influenced album of the last couple of years. It really grew on me and it's safe to say this is def my fav Carti album now

idc what anybody says, WLR v1 should've seen the light of day and been released. it was scrapped before the leaks even happened though so leaks weren't the problem

the WLR we got is still his best work yet though

Well we basically have an OG WLR with all the leaks we got that had that sound

    • Goku
    • Kid Cudi
    • Skeleton
    • Molly
    • Buffy The Body
    • Cancun
    • Monday Through Sunday
    • RIP Yams
    • Red On Red
    • Hellcat
    • Bouldercrest

And these are just off the top we def had like 20+ songs that were actually album quality

i know, I'm saying it should've seen the light of day before the leaks happened in late 2019. Or hell, he should've released it shortly after the leaks.

People hype up leaks to be better than they really are, so they can act all hipster about it once the real album comes out and talk all day how the leaks were better.

Not really. But anyone who’s saying WLR was better than those 2019-2020 leaks are delusional

it is, very unique sound compared to his previous two projects

  • May 12, 2021

Career is not ruined. Album went #1 (not that it means anything). Songs are doing well, album is doing well, critical reception is pretty good. Carti still has plenty of gas left in the tank, leaks may have f***ed up the release originally but he rebounded twice

  • May 12, 2021

lol how is carti career ruined everyone loves him and hes bigger than ever

Album sounded like stick talk and groupies but i kno what u mean. ds2 is the artistic pinnacle of trap and red took it where it needed to go.
